What is working of SS Gear Pump?
The working operation of a single-stage SS gear pump depends on the synchronization of rotating gears. A casing creates chambers that alternately is filled with fluid on the suction side and expel the fluid on the discharge side, providing a steady flow of liquid through the SS gear pump. DGPSS /SUS series SS Gear Pump are Horizontal Bracket Cum Foot Mount Self-Priming Positive Displacement Pumps. The Stainless Steel Gear Pumps are also used for exchange of non-destructive fluids, fuel oils, diesel oils, and so forth, with worked in alleviation valve place.
These pumps are designed to be easy to clean and maintain with a three-piece construction. The back cover can be simply removed by four Hex bolts. The SS gear pump has a single-helical SS-316 drive and shaft, which are nitrated to give longer life with trouble free performance.
The shaft is supported on self lubricating type PTFE coated Self Lubricated Dry Bush Bearings / Bronze / Glass Field Teflon ( GFT ) Bush Bearings and the shaft sealing is done by special PTFE Food Grade Pure PTFE Gland Packing or Mech. Seal for leak proof working with higher temperature range. The right angle L-type mounting bracket facilitates foot mounting of the pump on base plate with electric motor. The inlet and outlet ports are Inline as per BSP Screw end ranging from ¼” to 2 ½” having capacity range 2.5 LPM to 500 LPM.
These pumps has maximum pressure range up to 10 Kg/Cm2 and has suction lift of up to 5 meters at rated speed of 1440 rpm. The std. design of these pumps are without pressure relief valve. The Pressure Relief valve is fitted externally and it will supply on special request as an optional.
Above Stainless Steel Gear pump are also used as Metering / Dosing Pumps with the help of AC frequency drive and also used for volumetric Liquid filling with Servo & Stepper Motor for continuous, constant and pulsation free flow. SS Gear Pump is used for transferring corrosive, hygienic, and viscous liquids. There are several advantages of SS Gear Pumps like low maintenance, ability to handle a wide range of viscous fluids.
